“I will serve to live in harmony with nature, and teach my patients to do the same."

Sun Si Miao, Tang Dynasty Physician, Author, and Theorist

Simon Casciano LicAc MBAcC BSc BA
Licensed Acupuncturist

Clinical Experience with Extensive Training

Trained to the highest standards in acupuncture and oriental medicine, Simon received the top award of a first class BSc honours degree in 2011 from ICOM – The International College of Oriental Medicine and the UK’s longest established acupuncture training College.

Since qualifying he has practiced in London and the South East and is currently seeing patients at the Anderida Practice in Forest Row, East Sussex. He also offers home treatments for those who are immobile or housebound.

Simon is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) – the governing body upholding the highest standards of acupuncture in the UK and abides to their strict codes of safety, professional conduct and commitment to on-going personal and professional development. For this reason BAcC practitioners are the only oriental acupuncturists favored by most health insurers.

He have also undertaken further postgraduate training under SIRPA UK (Stress Illness Recovery Practitioners Association) and became a registered SIRPA practitioner in 2013. This training allows him to gain access and greater insight into the associations between physical pain or illness and unresolved conflicts and stresses in peoples’ lives, and how to go about resolving them.

Simon has studied the art of Chinese face diagnosis with Lillian Bridges in the USA. He has also undertaken extended studies in pulse diagnosis, meridian and point energetics  and the philosophical system known as ‘Stems and Branches’ with senior acupuncturist Joan Duveen (Holland) who still remains his primary teacher.

Stems and Branches acupuncture is rarely practiced today by acupuncturists, yet this ancient Chinese science can inform the diagnosis on a much deeper level by understanding the innate strengths and weaknesses of a patients’ constitution, based on the careful observation of their birth chart.

Simon is a volunteer acupuncturist for Macmillan Cancer Support at Crawley and East Grinstead hospitals.  Simon also holds a diploma in Swedish and Therapeutic massage.
